Integrity
Stars are never sold
The Trip2VN Guide only means something if it cannot be bought. This is the pledge that keeps it honest - and what it means for you as a traveller.
The pledge
Five things we will never do
Stars are never sold
No fee of any kind can buy a star or a place on a list.
Editorial is separate from commercial
Advertising, commissions and revenue have no influence on results.
One standard for all
Every establishment is assessed against the same criteria, without exception.
Anonymous assessors
Assessors are anonymous and bound by strict conflict-of-interest rules.
The right to know and to appeal
Every rated establishment is told the reasons for its rating and may request a review.
The wall
Assessment sits apart from commerce
Trip2VN runs a booking business - hotels, tours, tickets. The Guide panel does not. It has no revenue target, no commercial input, and no way for the booking side to influence a rating. A place you book through Trip2VN gets no advantage in the Guide.
Trip2VN - booking
- —Sells stays, tours & tickets
- —Earns commission
- —Commercial partnerships
The Guide - panel
- —Scores against six criteria
- —No revenue, no targets
- —Independent decisions
What it means for you
A star you can trust
No pay-to-play
Every name on the list is there on merit alone.
Judged like you
Assessors experience exactly what any paying guest does.
Kept current
Ratings are reviewed yearly, so a star still means something today.
