Nguyễn Tất Thành Street Development
Hồ Chí Minh City is preparing for a significant urban development project. Nguyễn Tất Thành Street, located in District 4, will undergo major expansion. This main road currently has four lanes. Plans aim to increase it to six or eight lanes. The project cost is estimated at nearly VND3 trillion (approximate). Construction is set to begin on September 2, 2026. This date marks the city's 50th anniversary.
New Public Park Along the River
Alongside the road expansion, the Nhà Rồng–Khánh Hội port area will be transformed. This waterfront space covers about 32 hectares. It will become a new public park for residents and visitors. This green space will offer views of the Saigon River. It aims to improve urban living and recreation options.
A Long-Term Urban Vision
Urban planners have considered expanding this corridor for many years. Historical records show similar proposals from a century ago. These past plans also aimed to improve traffic flow and waterfront access. This upcoming project continues a long-standing vision for the area.
