Where to stay

Most visitors base by the coast. My Khê is the long beach strip; the An Thượng pocket just inland is the walkable hub of cafés, co-working and international food — the easy first-timer choice, beach plus amenities in one place. The Sơn Trà peninsula to the north is quiet resort seclusion, transport needed. Hải Châu, on the river, is the real city centre — cheaper, more local, less beach.
