Do I need a visa for Vietnam?

Many nationalities can obtain an e-visa online for stays of up to 90 days, and several passports enter visa-free for shorter stays. Rules change; check the official Vietnamese immigration channels close to your travel dates, and ask your specialist to point you to the current requirements for your passport.

When is the best time to visit?

There is no single answer, because Vietnam runs three climate zones at once. September to November and March to May are the most even windows nationwide; every other month is excellent somewhere. Our month-by-month guide breaks it down by region.

How many days do I need?

Seven days covers two regions properly. Ten days lets you add the south. Two weeks covers the country at a humane pace. Trying to see everything in one week does not work; the country is more than 1,600 kilometres long, and it deserves better.

Cash or card?

Cards work in cities, hotels and most restaurants; markets and street food run on cash. ATMs are everywhere in towns of any size. Use a card for major expenses and keep modest cash for daily spending.

Will my phone work? Should I get a SIM?

Coverage is strong nationwide. Local SIMs and eSIMs are inexpensive and available at every airport, and Wi-Fi is near-universal in hotels and cafés.

Sobre el terreno

Is Vietnam safe?

Violent crime against visitors is rare. The practical risks are petty theft in crowded areas and learning to cross the street through motorbike traffic. Walk steadily, and the traffic flows around you.

How do I get between cities?

Domestic flights link the major hubs in one to two hours. The railway offers atmospheric overnight sleepers. Buses are cheap and extensive, and private drivers are affordable for mountain routes and flexible days.

Is street food safe? What about water?

Choose busy stalls with high turnover and locals queuing; that queue is the best hygiene certificate there is. Drink bottled or filtered water; factory-made ice in established venues is safe.

What should I wear at temples and pagodas?

Cover shoulders and knees, remove hats, and take off shoes where locals do. A light scarf in your bag resolves most situations.

Is tipping expected?

Tipping is not obligatory and never demanded, but it is warmly received, particularly by guides, drivers and boat crews at the end of a good day.

Will language be a problem?

English works in tourist areas and among younger Vietnamese. Elsewhere, a translation app plus goodwill covers almost everything.

¿Qué enchufes y voltaje usa Vietnam?

220 voltios.

Is Trip2VN a legitimate company?

Yes, and you should ask that of every travel site. Trip2VN is operated by TRIP2VN.COM Joint Stock Company, an independent company registered in Vietnam since 2023 (Business Registration No. 0110509174), with a published address and phone line in Hanoi. You always receive a written quote before paying, payments run through PCI DSS-compliant providers, and every transaction is receipted.

How does booking actually work?

Tell us what you have in mind through a tour page, the itinerary builder or the plan form. A specialist replies with a day-by-day plan and a written quote. You refine it together, confirm in writing, and pay securely. Nothing is booked and nothing is paid before you have agreed a plan and a price.

Why do some prices show a “~” symbol?

The tilde marks a reference price: a realistic starting point, not a committed number. Season, group size and hotel level move the total. Firm prices appear in your written quote, and only there.

How do payments work? Is my card safe?

Payments are made through secure links from established, PCI DSS-compliant providers. Your card details go directly to the provider and are never seen or stored by Trip2VN. Longer private trips typically use a deposit with the balance due before departure. The schedule is always in your quote, and our Payment Security page has the full picture.

What if I need to change or cancel?

Every written quote states its change and cancellation terms before you commit, and our published Booking & Cancellation Policy sets out the defaults. If weather closes a route mid-trip, we rework the plan with you first.

What languages do you support?

The site operates in eight languages. Consultations are currently in English and Vietnamese, with Korean-language support planned, and we match ground guides to your language wherever possible.
