About An Giang
An Giang is where the delta meets the mountains — Châu Đốc sits at the river mouth under the shadow of Sam mountain, with its temple complex and pilgrimage traffic. Inland, the Trà Sư cajuput forest opens into flooded plains, and the Thất Sơn (Seven Mountains) rise as mystical landmarks.
Since the merger, Phú Quốc island — once a world away — is now part of An Giang.
