Editorial Policy

Trip2VN is an independent company. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or operated on behalf of any hotel group, restaurant chain, cruise operator or hospitality conglomerate, and no business we cover holds any stake in us. Editorial decisions are made by the Trip2VN editorial team alone. No advertiser, partner or supplier reviews, approves or influences our content before publication.

Using Trip2VN is free for travellers. When a trip planned with our specialists is booked, Trip2VN may earn a service fee or a referral fee from travel partners. That revenue never buys placement: no property or restaurant has paid to be listed, ranked higher, or scored better, and none ever will. Commercial relationships and editorial judgements are handled by different people, on different criteria.

• We do not invent ratings. Scores and distinctions come from stated criteria, applied by people.
• We do not fabricate reviews or publish reviews we cannot verify.
• We do not invent prices. Reference prices are marked with a tilde (~) and grounded in real, recent quotes.
• We do not publish AI-generated imagery presented as real places. Photographs on Trip2VN show the place as it is.
• We do not accept payment, hospitality or favours in exchange for coverage or ranking.

Our directories are curated, not crowdsourced and not pay-to-play. Editors select places on quality, character and reliability, drawing on first-hand knowledge, repeat visits and verifiable traveller feedback. Being good is the only way in, and ceasing to be good is the way out. Listings are re-checked and removed when standards slip.

Our guides are drafted with the help of AI tools and then fact-checked, corrected and edited by our editorial team before publication. Every published guide reflects human judgement and local knowledge; AI accelerates the drafting, never the deciding. Facts that age, such as prices, opening hours and transport routes, are reviewed on a rolling schedule.

We use our own photography and properly licensed images, credited where required. We do not use AI-generated images of real places, and we do not use misleading angles or edits that materially misrepresent what a traveller will find.

The Trip2VN Guide, our annual assessment of hotels, restaurants, destinations and experiences, is administered by the Asia Awards Organization (AAO), an independent awards body with an international jury. Assessment visits are anonymous and self-funded, the criteria are public, and results are decided by the assessment council, not by Trip2VN’s commercial team. Stars are not for sale, at any price.

When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and visibly. If you spot an error, whether a closed restaurant, an outdated price or a wrong fact, tell us through the Contact page. Corrections are made promptly, and material corrections are noted on the page.
